Moon Tattoos And Design-Moon Tattoo Idea
MOON TATTOOS
Moon tattoos have been a popular choice among both women and men. Typically, moon tattoos are chosen by women. However, men do wear this tattoo symbols. Those who do usually have the moon portrayed with the sun within the tattoo design. Moon tattoo designs can be designed in several different ways. This is the type of tattoo symbol that is fun to work with as a tattoo artist.
Moon tattoos look great in any size. You can choose to get a big moon tattoo or a small moon tattoo. The moon is commonly portrayed with stars and the sun. In fact, some moon tattoo designs combine the moon and sun. Some moon tattoo designs are done in solid black ink while others are done in colors.
I wish I had my camera to take a picture of my friend's latest tattoo. He did a moon tattoo on a female, using a baby blue color, purple, orange, and light silver. The tattoo flowed great, very detailed. These four colors worked well together, better then what I would have thought. Imagine this, The moon was colored in with a medium purple, more on the dark side. The sky in the background was baby blue and orange. Clouds mixed in with both colors in the background. He placed two clouds on the right and one on the left. The moon, which was a half-moon, was featured dead center between the clouds. Also, stars were added with the clouds, using the same blue and orange. The stars had mixtures of white, just completely amazing detail. The half-moon was decorated with silver, just a few small details.
If you could imagine, the tattoo was huge. The lady, Sarah, even paid $50 extra dollars because she absolutely loved it. I'm going to try and get a picture of it, hopefully. You wouldn't think of using these 4 colors in a moon tattoo, but it worked. Artist, don't be afraid to experiment and try different things. You may just be surprised on what you can create.
